Welcome to this blog! I am an amalgamation of personalities, dare I say - fairly interesting ones ;). And these personalities - most of them - quite enjoy expressing themselves and getting to know others as well.

Whether it's health at every size or size acceptance; whether it's the counselling sessions I do or the breakthroughs I have in getting to know myself; my experiences on the Walk of Hope or my corporate avatar; I learn every day and intend to put my insights out here.

Hope you enjoy reading and happy to hear from you!

A poem for a change, dedicated to the teacher  within and without!

Sweat pouring down his face,
Smells fear off never finishing the race
Muscles pumping fit to tear
Agony pounding too much to bear
Each bound a test of strength
The finish line a far away length

Tears in his eyes too many to hold
His heart breaking so far from the gold
A distant memory in his mind came forth
Off sunny mornings long forgot
A smile and skip on the way to class
His teacher standing on soft green grass

Bright deep eyes of knowing and peace
Quick to put his students at ease
“I cannot teach you” was the humble welcome
“Remember the being you are to become
‘Tis easy my child, close your eyes and breathe
The inner voice speaks, in silence take heed

Pray to be guided to your peak
Follow your heart, it reveals what you seek
So simple it is, as here I stand
A normal and plain ordinary man
No words have I of heroic deeds
Nor stories to tell of big men and steeds

Off lectures and lessons no uses have you
Till the blade broke the soil no grass ever grew
Without heat of fire no blade would be forged
From fear is born courage to cross the gorge
Watch me as with ease I skip along the way
Like you was I a student held in doubt’s sway

Step forward and shine as stars divine
Have faith, oh very special student of mine
Remember your very own unique might
And dazzle those assembled with your light”
The strength of belief his teacher had taught
Come back to his memory as he fought

A burst of light through his body was shot
From the power of faith his strength he got
Twice as fast his strides led him on
Flashing past the others as time ticked on
Like sparks from a sword as metal is formed
The closeness of the ribbon on his mind dawned
A second and it was past, the cheer arose
Sweet victory in his mind this moment froze

Kneeling with head down his teacher he thanked
For showing him the way across the slippery bank
No words were needed, no theory, no test
Example and faith brought out the best
His cup did he raise as an offering to the skies
To my teacher he dedicated as he closed his eyes

Gentle sound came upon him as a drizzle at noon
“‘Twas not my words that acted as your boon
No one can teach for everyone knows
When you find the teacher within, you truly grow”
